Natural Resources

Kiwi science-led studio Geo Applied Realities (Geo A.R.) and the Bioeconomy Science Institute have together taken one of New Zealand’s toughest balancing acts, how our farmers navigate a changing environment and economy, and turned it into a multiplayer digital life simulation the whole world can enjoy.

What if we could run the future before it happens? Feed it a flood. Throw a heatwave at a city. Watch the carbon add up, brick by brick. That is the promise of a digital twin of Earth. A living model that updates in real time, letting us test the future without breaking the present. And the race to build it is already underway.
